Dear RWCNS Friend,

Please join us to ring in this spring with a very special evening out.

Circle April 14 on your calendar, book a sitter, leave the kids at home, and set aside a few enjoyable hours for yourself… time to be spent in the company of friends.

You can expect good conversation… excellent hors d'oeuvres… live music… and, of course, extraordinary wines.

For the Novice Enthusiast as Well as the Connoisseur

Whether you tend to grab the under-$8 bottle at the store (always that same tried-and-true choice) or you're a connoisseur with deeper pockets and nose for what you like…

You'll find this evening both enjoyable… and educational, too.

You see, we're lucky to have among our ranks here at Ruth Washburn a few wine experts who have generously agreed to share with us their expertise.

It means you can expect to learn about (and taste) a whole array of wines you might never dare try on your own.

• You'll learn a bit about what distinguishes one wine from another… and one New World region from another, as well…

• Ever considered a Malbec from Argentina? A Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand? A Chenin Blanc from South Africa? Find out why you should -- or shouldn't -- and which bottles are worth your while…

• Come away with a few suggestions for that infinitely drinkable under-$10 bottle …

• Scribble down a name or two that make good-value accompaniments for holiday meals…

• Learn about a few bottles that are perfect if you want to tote something along to a dinner party…

• And more…

Funds -- and a Thank You -- to the Ruth Washburn Community

Plus, you won't feel in the least bit frivolous enjoying yourself.

That's because the funds we raise this evening are going to a cause you believe in: Ruth Washburn Cooperative Nursery school.

In fact, we're inviting the teachers and staff to join us for free as a way to say thank you from all of us to all of them for the unending expertise and enthusiasm they bring to the school.

We hope you'll join us in raising a toast to them on April 14th.

So please, act quickly. We'd hate for you to miss out.

We'll be gathering…
